Read and Marcy Ronk are the owners of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral in Jackson, TN and Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home North in Humboldt, TN. They take pride in being 100% locally owned and operated offering affordable option plans for local communities.
Read grew up in the funeral home business as his grandfather started Ronk Funeral in Alamo, TN. There he served for many years helping the Crockett County and surrounding communities. In 2015, the Ronk family purchased Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral home in Jackson, TN from Mr. Jimmy Lawrence. In 2022, Read and Marcy expanded their business in Gibson County and formed Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home North Chapel in Humboldt, TN.
The Ronk’s both grew up in the Crockett County community. They currently reside in Madison County with their two children.
Read is a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is a graduate of Alamo High School and John A. Gupton College in Nashville, TN.
Marcy is a licensed funeral director and prearrangement specialist. She is a graduate of Crockett County High School, Jackson State Community College in Jackson, TN, Bethel University in McKenzie, TN, and John A. Gupton College in Nashville, TN.
