William Gordon Phillips

Funeral Services for Mr. William Gordon Phillips, age 70, will be held at 11 am on Saturday September 26, 2020, at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church with Bro. Walter German and Bro. Harry Deloach officiating. Mr. Phillips passed away September 22, 2020, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was born August 2, 1950, to his late parents, Johnnie Phillips and Alma Conner Phillips. He is also preceded in death by his brother, John Richard Phillips; sisters, Elizabeth Johnson, Ressie Cronic, Dorothy Grow, Bertha Grammer, and Esther Nix. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife, Debra Phillips; three sons, Kevin Phillips, Jason Phillips (Jennifer), Brad Phillips (April); sisters, Betty Miller, Bethel Essary (David); grandchildren, Hayden Phillips (Cheyenne), Landon Phillips (Anna Kate), Brinley Phillips, Braylen Phillips, Cameron Phillips, Alix Kirkendol, Ava Kirkendol, Caleb Starr, and Mya Ronquillo. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020, from 5-7 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. The family ask that all memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church building fund. Pallbearers for the service are Hayden Phillips, Trevor Kenner, Payton Pierce, Dylan Hopper, Jeremy Morris, and Ryan Jourdan. Honorary pallbearer Rodney Bishop.
