A graveside service for Mr. Murphy Wayne Pittman, age 73, will be held at 11 am Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Browns Church Cemetery with Kevin Alexander officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00- 7:00pm on Monday, November 18, 2024 at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on November 5, 1951, in Sommerville, TN. The son of the late Murphy "Jack" Pittman and Ann Bolden Pittman, he was the oldest of five children. He passed away at the age of 73 after a three year battle with cancer. Wayne was a believer of Jesus Christ which showed in his life. He graduated from Southside High School, class of 1971 and still kept in touch with his classmates. Wayne was an avid golfer with three hole in ones. He loved playing golf with his many friends. 

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Pittman; son, Jeremy Wayne Pittman who passed away suddenly on March 11, 2006 in a Harley accident. 

Wayne is survived by his wife, Belinda Wadley Pittman of 46 years; his son, Peyton Cruse; granddaughter, Zarlei Pittman Herndon (Brody); daughter in law, Leilani Mills (Scott); brother, Charles Pittman (Martha); sisters, Linda White (Ricky) and Lisa Cox (Bill); sister in law, Paula Pittman. He also leaves behind his loving companion Shih Tzu Marlei Rae with his wife Belinda. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to West Tennessee Hospice.
