Victor Rybon Dorris, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Victor Rybon Dorris, Sr., age 78, will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Beech Bluff, TN with Bro. Justin Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12-1 pm before the service. In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mr. Dorris passed away on June 4, 2022, at the TN State Veterans Home in Humboldt, TN. He was born in Madison County on September 23, 1943, to the late Gene and Ruth Buntyn Dorris. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jason Dorris; sister, Connie Lee. Mr. Dorris served in the United States Navy. He loved his grandchildren, horses and fishing. He was a member of Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mr. Dorris is survived by his wife of 46 years, Wanda Dorris; son, Victor R. Dorris, Jr. (Sarah); daughters, Jennifer Anderson (Stan), Kristie King (Ritchie), Jennifer Maxwell (David); twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
