Funeral services for Mrs. Susie Maurine Martin Summer, age 87, will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at 11:00 am at North Jackson Church of Christ with Bro. Josh Cook and Bro. David Powell officiating. Mrs. Summer passed away on November 13, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Summer was born on August 11, 1934 to her late parents Floyd Martin and Lillie Palmer Martin. She is also preceded in death by her husband Jack Summer. Mrs. Summer is survived by her brother Douglas Martin (Mary); sister, Janice Smith (James), niece, Vickie Smith; sister-in-law and dear friend, Mary Frances Summer Christie, special friends, Gina Summer, Paula Johnston, Amanda Henson, Christy Cook, Beth Lentz; step son, Barry Summer; step daughter, Stephanie Johnson; two step grandchildren, Conner Patrick Johnson and Mia Isabella Johnson. Pallbearers for the service will be Michael Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Randy Highsmith, David Christie, Eric Russell and Drew Rush. Visitation for Mrs. Summer will be held Thursday, November, 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Companion Pet Rescue or the victims of the Waverly Flood.
