Funeral services for Mr. Samuel E. Crews, age 77, will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, at 11:00 am in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Crews passed away on August 10, 2020, at Debras Care Home in Bartlett, TN. He was born on March 4, 1943, in Monette, AR to the late James Montel Crews and Nadine Thompson Crews. Mr. Crews was a longtime lineman for the TVA before going to work for JUD. This Sunday would have been his 57 year anniversary to his late wife, Patricia Crews. Mr. Crews was an avid motorcycle rider, liked to water ski and he was a lifetime member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Crews was a graduate of Northside High School. Mr. Crews was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Crews; brother, Jimmy Crews; nephew, Mark Crews. Mr. Crews is survived by his sons, Sammy Crews Jr. (Tina), Chad Crews (Kim); daughters, Paula Jones (Brad), Angel Barnes (Shane), Christy Crews; sister in law, Janette Crews; nephew, Mike Crews (Lisa); grandchildren, Brad Jones II (fiance Courtney), Phalon Jones Diggs (Chase), Ben Crews, Cory Milam (Laura), Samantha Lea Crews, Natalie Dawn Crews, Chase Barnes, Halee Barnes, Hanna Barnes, Jace Crossett; great grandchildren, Phoenyx Ray, and Huntley Elizabeth Milam. Visitation for Mr. Crews will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020, from 10 11 am at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service are Al Jones, Bill Hill, Mike Crews, Jeff Crawford, Gill Morehead, and Brian Phillips.
