Ronald Milam Ron Spitzer

Funeral services for Mr. Ronald Milam "Ron Spitzer, age 70, will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Cupples officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery. Ron died October 5, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. Even though his journey was hard, he remained positive to the end. Born on September 17, 1948, son of Ruth Milam Spitzer and the late Sipper Spitzer. Ron served his country proudly in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. Upon retirement from a long career in electric motor manufacturing, Ron enjoyed woodworking, growing vegetable, and sitting in the swing watching the birds. He was a very faithful attendee of Love & Truth Church North Campus. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Spitzer; children, Ryan Spitzer (Tracy) of Oak Ridge, TN and Susan Haston; stepdaughter, Stacey Webb; stepson, Ben Martin (Jerri); six grandchildren; one great-grandchild all of McMinnville, TN; sisters, Debra Fonville (Ray), Denna Smith (Tony); numerous nieces and nephews of Jackson, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Cancer Association in his name. Visitation for Mr. Spitzer will be Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Brent Fonville, Justin Smith, Jason Crawford, Glen Williford, McKinley Bolds, and Marty Main.
