Rainey Jo McCord

Funeral services for Rainey Jo McCord, age 25, will be held at 1 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Flake officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Rainey Jo passed away on October 14, 2024, in Jackson, TN. She was born on September 21, 1999, in Jackson, TN to Tim McCord and Alana Pruiett McCord. She was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Thomas R. McCord and Joyce Alene McCord; maternal grandfather, Joe Pruiett; maternal great grandmother, Helen Rainey; paternal grandfather, Jim Callahan; nephew, Peyton Mills.

Rainey Jo was known for her kind heart, contagious laughter and beautiful smile. She was a free soul and loved everyone she met. She loved her dog, her family and friends with everything in her heart. Her sweet and silly spirit will be greatly missed.

Rainey Jo is survived by her father, Tim McCord; mother, Alana McCord; brother, Timothy McCord, Jr.; sisters, Megan Mills (P.J.), Megan McMillen (Steve); grandfather, Thomas McCord, Sr.; grandmother, Patricia Callahan; husband, Mitchell Fesmire; nephew, Deklan Mills; nieces, Presley McCord, Addi Mills, Danielle Smith, Rayleigh McMillen, Nova McCord, Kay Lee Pittman; best friend-sisters, Eryka Yancy, Chelsey King; aunts and uncles, Tracy Banks (Scott), and Thomas Wayne McCord (Amiee). Rainey Jo was loved deeply by her 2nd mama and daddy Tim and Rhonda Pittman.

In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund is being arranged in her honor at D.A.Y. Cosmetology School. (Rainey Day Scholarship)
