Patricia (Pat) Anne Hinton Quesenberry
Born December 21, 1940, Jackson, TN Daughter of Willie Bess Omar Hinton and Paul Hunter Hinton. Died March 9, 2023
Pat lived most of her life in Jackson, Tennessee. She attended Jackson City Schools and graduated from Jackson High School in 1958. She attended college at Blue Mountain College in Mississippi and Memphis State University. In 1962, she graduated from Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis. She worked as a registered nurse with Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for 24 years and two years at Bay Memorial Hospital in Panama City, Florida. She also taught one year in the Nursing Program at Union University. She served as a volunteer for the American Red Cross prior to being on staff and was the Health and Safety Instructor for the organization for many years. She also volunteered for the MAC Club at JMCGH.
Pat was an active member of First Baptist Church of Jackson, Tennessee, where she served in the Sanctuary Choir, the Adult Handbell Choir, and she also worked with the Children’s Choir for many years. She loved animals, southern gospel music, and yardwork.
She was married to Kleyon Quesenberry (deceased) on December 21, 1969. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands–Dawn Schwartz and Mike of Jackson and Tammy Webb and Bobby, also of Jackson; three grandchildren–Morgan Whiteaker of Bells, Ali Halford Hardy (Chris) of Jackson, and Jake Halford of Southhaven, Mississippi. Also surviving are grandchildren Adam Webb (Leia), Becky Cederquist (Eric) and Elizabeth (Liz) Nichols (Greg). Also surviving are great-grandchildren Skylar Webb, Gage Webb, Parker Nichols, Tyler Cederquist, Jenny Cederquist, Addie Kate Hardy, Wyatt Hardy, and Madilyn Stablein.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Kleyon Quesenberry; brothers, Paul Clifton Hinton and John D. Hinton; and her mother and father, Willie Bess and Paul Hinton. Visitation will be held at Lawrence-Sorenson Funeral Home Sunday, March 12, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., and Funeral Services will also be at Lawrence-Sorenson Funeral Home, Monday, March 13, at 11:00 a.m. Burial at Hollywood Cemetary will follow. Justin Wainscott will be officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Jake Halford, Chris Hardy, Phillip Boyd, Hal Currin, Joel Owen, and Jack Holmes. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. David Bryan, Dr. Roy Appleton, Harold Patrick, Greg Henne, Chris Henne, Corben Henne, and Dr. David Carlton.
