Martha Ann Heidelberg Yarbro

 Bill Deloach, cousin, will conduct graveside services for Ms. Martha Ann Heidelberg Yarbro, 60. The burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery at 2:00 on Thursday, February 27, 2025. There will only be a viewing for family and close friends from 12:30 to 1:30 at the Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Martha Ann passed away at her home after battling cancer, surrounded by her loved ones, on Monday, February 24, 2025.

Born on August 14, 1964, in Madison County, TN, Martha Ann graduated from South Side High School in 1982 and attended Jackson State Community College. She worked at PRA until her retirement.

Martha Ann was passionate about fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed traveling to England to visit her significant other, Andy Stone. She was a devoted cat owner, loving her two cats, Chloe and Harley. Martha Ann was cherished and deeply loved by her nieces and nephews.

One fond memory of Martha Ann is from her childhood when she attended Aunt Joyce Corley’s wedding; she playfully begged to go along on the honeymoon.

Martha Ann is survived by her son, Joshua Yarbro, who was a great source of pride and joy for her. His love and support throughout her life meant the world to her. She often shared stories of their time together and the special bond they had. She is survived by his father, Joe Yarbro. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary Campbell, Patsy Day (Daniel Day), and Cindy Matthews (Jessie Forsythe), as well as her brothers, Joe Heidelberg and Bruce Heidelberg (Angela Porter). Additional survivors include her aunts, Lucy Allison (Bill) and Joyce Corley, along with eight nephews, fourteen nieces, and several cousins.

Martha Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Bessie Heidelberg, and by one niece, Kristy Bordelon.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Heidelberg, Jr., Russ McBay, Allen Matthews, Michael Heidelberg, Adam Heidelberg, and Jason Kelso. Honorary pallbearer Mr. Stoney.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, to please make a donation to St. Jude’s Cancer Center.
