Martha J Stanford

A memorial service for Mrs. Martha J. Stanford, age 67, will be held at 2 pm Friday, December 16, 2022, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Visitation will be held with the family from 12pm-2pm before the service.

Mrs. Stanford passed away December 12, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Memphis, TN. She was born May 31, 1955, in Jackson, TN to the late Robert Johnson and Linda Mae Holder Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roy Johnson; daughter, Amy Matherly; granddaughter, Amy Cheyenne Matherly.

Mrs. Stanford is survived by her husband, James Stanford; sons, Chris Stansell (Jasmine), Roy Matherly (Molly Joyner), William Stanford; daughters, Melissa Stansell, Marie Simpson (Gary); brothers, Eddie Johnson (Judy), Leon Johnson, Joe Johnson (Jennie); sisters, Diane Stansell (Harold), Janette Johnson; twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren
