Maisie Captolia Owens Webb

Maisie Captolia Webb passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 25, 2020, 15 days after her 92nd birthday. Maisie was a beacon of light, love and happiness, and she lived a full life surrounded by so many who loved her. Maisie was raised in the mountains of Virginia by the late Francis and John Owens and was the youngest of six children, whom all have proceeded her in death. After the passing of her parents, Maisie moved to Michigan with her brother where she met the love of her life, Dewey Adrian Webb. Maisie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years. Each morning, Dewey greeted Maisie by whistling and saying, "theres my beautiful wife!" They had a love that was deep, devoted and endless. Moving closer to Deweys family, the couple became longtime residents of Jackson, Tennessee. Maisie and Dewey were members of Robin Street Primitive Baptist Church where they served the Lord for over 50 years. Above all, Maisie and Dewey served as role models for their firm beliefs in God, marriage and family. Together, they raised four wonderful daughters: Deborah Webb, Kathryn Braswell, Joyce Rucker (Scott) and Lisa Coleraine (Charlie). Maisie was a grandmother to seven grandchildren whom she cherished and loved with all of her heart. She was preceded in death by Lydia Gerakios and leaves behind Bradford Braswell, Mark Braswell, Matthew Rucker (Megan), Joshua Rucker, Jill Coleraine (Taylor) and Ben Coleraine. She is survived by one great-grandchild, Cayden Braswell. She was affectionately called grandma by so many more, even outside of her related family. Her fun-loving personality, bright smile, infectious laughter, tight hugs and knack for listening captured and warmed the hearts of all who encountered her. The family would like to express their gratitude to Maisies caregivers who treated her as their own around-the-clock: Glenda Hayes, Monique Hess, Linda Walters, Teresa Cawthon, and many other extraordinarily caregivers at Sitters & More of West Tennessee, Inc. Visitation services for Maisie Webb will be from 12:30 - 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home located at 403 East Baltimore Street, Jackson, TN, 38301.
