Lester Durham

Funeral services for Mr. Lester Durham will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hale and Pastor Steve Fullington officiating. He died of natural causes at 96 years old. Interment will follow in Beech Bluff Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-7 pm Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Mr. Durham was a founding member of Beech Bluff Pentecostal Church. He worked for Malone and Hyde for 45 years, 42 of those years as a truck driver.

Mr. Durham passed away on October 13, 2023, in Jackson, TN. He was born on February 8, 1927, in Jackson, TN to the late Caldwell Durham and Julia Perkins Durham. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ilene Durham; brothers, Howard Durham, Carl Durham, "twin brother" Vester Durham; sister, Mildred Jones; granddaughters Gabbi and Bella Grisham.

Mr. Durham is survived by his sons, Mike Durham (Kathy), Richard Durham (Carolyn), Randy Durham (Marie); grandchildren, Kelly Durham, Jama Pilkington (Justin), Jason Durham (Megan), Ashley “Addy” Grisham (Brian), Lesley Durham, Jeremy Durham (Heather); great grandchildren, Peyton, Alex, Kylan, Harrison, Kate, Alex, Lincoln, Coleman, Bryar, Brooks, Mila, Elli Brein, Hazel.
