Lavern Blankenship

Funeral services for Mrs. Lavern Blankenship, age 92, will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, January 18, 2019, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Justin Griffin officiating. Interment will follow at Beech Bluff Cemetery. Mrs. Blankenship passed away January 15, 2019, in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born September 27, 1926, in Beech Bluff, Tennessee to the late Clyde and Lillie Russell Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Blankenship; sister, Frances Blankenship; brother, Dennis Thomas. Surviving relatives include her sons, Jackie Blankenship and Tom Blankenship (Deborah); five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Maple Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation for Mrs. Blankenship will be held Friday, January 18, 2019, 11:00 am 1:00 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.
