Laura Belle Harper

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Belle Harper, age 95, will be held at 11 am Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Young, Bro. Bo Callahan and Bro. Richard Yelverton officiating. Internment will follow at Beech Bluff Cemetery. A visitation with the family will be held from 5 pm-8 pm Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Mrs. Laura Belle Harper passed away on February 26, 2023 in Jackson, TN. She was born January 2, 1928 to Jack and Verdell Hart of Henderson County, moving to Madison County at an early age.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Curtis Harper; a son, Gary Harper; brother, Jackie Hart; sister, Crystal McBroom; great grandson, Jaden Tunis.

Laura Belle was a retired nurse, and an inspired Bible teacher and speaker. She taught Bible studies locally and in her home. She taught Sunday school in her home church for many years. She was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. Laura Belle was also a member of the United Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her sons, Arlon Curtis Harper, Nathan Harper (Sherry); daughter, Rose Marie Harper Hunt (Larry); daughter - law, Pat Harper; brother, David Hart (Terry); sister, Carolyn Fowler (Grady Jr.); grandchildren April Harper, John Britt, Brian Harper, Kevin Harper; great grandchild, Lilly Britt.
