John Eric Henderson, Jr.

Funeral services for John Eric Henderson, Jr., age 29, will be held at 12 pm Friday, December 16, 2022, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home North Chapel, with Pastor Donald Lance officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 4 pm-7 pm Thursday, December 15, 2022.

Mr. Henderson passed away on November 23, 2022, in Jackson, TN. He was born on July 29, 1993, in Chattanooga, TN to John Eric Henderson, Sr. and Diane Michelle Hicks. He is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Willie Maxine and John Haven Henderson; maternal grandparents, Sandra Jean Hicks, John Michael Watkins and Francena Davis Watkins.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his mother; son, Aiden Davis and his mother Alexia Davis; daughters, Kiniya Henderson and her mother Deaunna Winston, Jean Michelle Henderson and her mother Trachell Brown; brothers, Josh LeRic Henderson, Andre Henderson, Joshua Henderson; sisters, Jai Hicks, Sandra Brown, Ericka Henderson; maternal uncles, Charles Beard and wife Aunt Collen Wright Beard, Dana Hicks, and JerMicheal Davis (Watkins), maternal aunts Samansela Beard Blount, Sonia Fields, and Kenyetta McKinzie King (Watkins).

The pallbearers at the service will be Jai Hicks, Josh Henderson, Christopher Torrey, James Davis, Dana Hicks. Honorary pallbearers are Uncle James Davis and Brady Garcia. Honorable mention, Anthony Wolfert.

John was an industrious young man who was always occupied with useful labor. Many say he truly loved working with his hands and was the best at it. He was also an avid animal lover, especially dogs. It’s said that he’s never met a stranger and that his infectious smile always brightened every room he entered.

John’s first love(s) aside from receiving Christ and being baptized at the age of six years old, were his children. As a devoted father, he spent every waking moment of his day providing loving care towards his children.

John Eric Henderson, Jr. will surely be missed.
