Jo Anne Moling

Jo Anne White Moling departed this life on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Born November 20, 1937, she grew up and lived most of her life in the Beech Bluff community. She graduated from Beech Bluff High School. She loved flowers of all kinds and had an extensive collection. The African Violets were her favorite. She loved to sew and through the years made several quilts, pillows, and doll clothes for the grandchildren. She was a great cook. A pinch of this and a dab of that were her measurements. Most Sundays she would drive to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where she was a member since 1963. She taught the Louise Stanford Sunday School Class for many years. In the summer it was Vacation Bible School, where she taught and served Kool-Aid and cookies. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Wayne Moling; her parents, R.D. and Willie Mae White; son, Barry "Bud" Miller; daughter, Teresa Seavers; brother, Tim C. White. Surviving are her son, Ricky Miller (Lajuana); daughter, Pam Caldwell (Robb); sisters, Patsy Blankenship and Lesa Taylor (Larry). Her six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren will remember her as MeMaw. Her nieces and nephews called her Aunt JoJo. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018, 5-8 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, May 4, 2018, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Elder Charles Whitten will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Rocky Springs Cemetery where Dr. John Farrar will close the service. Pallbearers will be Ricky Miller, Robb Caldwell, Brandon Miller, Brent Blankenship, Jeff Blankenship, Robert Taylor, and Ashley Robertson.
