Janet Lynne Davis

Janet Lynne Davis, 66, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Janet was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on September 6, 1953 to parents William Miles Melvin and Violette (Duchene) Melvin. She was a graduate of Hixson High School and worked as a legal assistant for Schering-Plough and Kraft Foods in Memphis, Tennessee. In Janets retirement, she loved all things crafting and sold her creations at many shows and events. Janet married Ricky Davis on December 30, 1994. He survives at the family home. Other survivors include: Julie Vaden Smith (daughter) and her husband Jeff in Lawrence KS, Jason Vaden (son) in Jackson MS, Jona Vaden Hall (daughter) and her husband Kevin in Oakland TN, Jean Kirchner (sister) and her husband Rudy of Madison AL, William (Bill) M. Melvin, Jr. (brother) and wife Pam of Huntsville, AL and one grandchild Ethan Smith. Janet was preceded in death by her parents. As Janet requested, her remains were cremated and there will be a private family memorial service.
