Jane Taylor Scott

Mrs. Jane Taylor Scott, age 96, passed away on July 5, 2024, at Maplewood Health Care Center after a short illness following hip surgery.

Jane was the daughter of Earl Johnson and Rumel Milam Rushing. Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Noel Taylor (1987) and Bill Scott (2009); son, Larry Noel Taylor (2023).

Jane was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a member of Aldersgate Methodist Church. She worked 34 years at Consolidated Aluminum, retiring in 1984. She enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, reading, working crossword puzzles and watching old movies.

Jane is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lesa Taylor and a “dear grandson”, Robert Daniel Taylor.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Rocky Springs Cemetery with Dr. John Farrar officiating.

Pallbearers for the service are Robert Taylor, Brent Blankenship, Jeff Blankenship, Ashley Robertson, Layton Robertson and Ricky Miller (Honorary).
