Homecoming celebration for Mr. Jack Dempsey Briley, Sr., age 87, will be held at 2 pm Friday, November 5, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church in Bemis, TN with Bro. Danny Geary and Bro. Jerry Howell officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Briley passed away on October 29,2021, at his home in Jackson, TN. He was born on April 17, 1934, in Beech Bluff, TN to the late James Briley and Willie Sue Pirtle Briley. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Alice Briley, Marcella Wooley, Lucille Briley, Ella Sue Lowrance; brothers, John Briley, Gerald Briley, and James Briley, Jr; “special brother”, Bobby Mayo. Mr. Briley is survived by his wife, Patricia Roach Briley; son, Jack D. Briley, Jr. (Patricia); daughter, Teressa McDonald (Kelly, Sr.); brother, David Briley (Nell); sister, Nancy Knolton; grandchildren, Dr. Oliver McDonald, Terri Dodd (Michael), Kelly McDonald, Jr. (Jessica), Jack McDonald (Tawly); great grandchildren, Briley, Bailey, Blakely, Blayne Dodd, Tinsley, and McKenzie McDonald. Visitation with the family will be held from 12-2 pm Friday, November 5, 2021, at Trinity Baptist Church.
