Henry R Rushing

Graveside services for Mr. Henry R. Rushing, age 77, will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Maple Springs Cemetery with David Baker officiating. Mr. Rushing passed away on August 31, 2021, at his home in Jackson, TN. He was born on August 31, 1944, in Madison County to the late Vergil E. Rushing and Katherine Blackwell Rushing. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Patricia “Pat” Robinson Rushing; son, Hank Rushing; granddaughter, Alyssa Rushing; brothers, George Rushing, Leon Rushing, Jimmy Rushing; sisters, Brenda Rushing, Bernice Doyle; nephew, Greg Rushing. Mr. Rushing is survived by his sons, Ronald Rushing, Chris Rushing, Travis Rushing; daughter, Rose King; brothers, Robert Rushing, Virgil Rushing, Jr., Jerry Rushing; sister, Shirley Williams; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews. Mr. Rushing was an avid bird hunter and a truck driver for Averitt Express and Spelling Logging Company. “Hen” was his C B trucker handle. The family of Mr. Rushing would like to thank the caregivers, loved ones and special friends that helped during his time of need. Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021, from 12 pm – 2 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. The family asked that everyone wear a mask to the visitation.
