Helen Vestal Trimmer Funeral service for Ms. Helen Vestal Trimmer, 86, will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 2 P.M. at East Trinity United Methodist Church with Bro. Steven Callicoatt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chester County with Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in charge of services. Ms. Trimmer went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Morningside of Jackson surrounded by her family. Her beloved husband Ralph passed away December 29, 2006. She was born October 10, 1933 in Jackson, TN to the late Bonnie Eli Vestal and Maudie Mae Vestal. She married her late husband Ralph Carthen Trimmer on June 2, 1951. Ms. Trimmer had been a member of East Trinity United Methodist Church since 1954 and was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday School in the Childrens Department, was a member of the Nurture Committee and church hostess. She loved to prepare meals for others, was an avid reader and enjoyed genealogy. Most important, she was a loving wife, mother and granny to her children and grandchildren. She had a deep faith, loved her Lord, church, family and friends with her whole heart. She always let them know by small acts how much they were loved by her and God. Her life was a Christian example for others to follow. Ms. Trimmer is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Hazel Martin, Ann Woods and brother Bonnie Ray Vestal. She is survived by her children, Sheila Trimmer Johnson and husband Chris, Anthony Ralph "Tony" Trimmer and wife Jenny, Mark Carthen Trimmer and wife Susan; grandchildren, Kurt Anthony Trimmer and wife Meredith, Coty Carthen Trimmer; step grandchild Justin Bailey; great grandchild Gaitley Trimmer and sister Sue Vestal Donley. Pallbearers for the service will be Kurt Trimmer, Coty Trimmer, Justin Bailey, Mark Bedwell, Ray Holder, James Johnson and Honorary Pallbearer Mike Johnson. The family request memorials be made to East Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation for Ms. Trimmer will be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 from 4 until 6 P.M.
