Funeral services for Mrs. Hazel Irene Emerson, age 85, will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. David Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Emerson passed away on July 20, 2019, in Jackson, TN. She was born on June 12, 1934, to Clyde Edgar Johnson and Eva Beasley Johnson. Mrs. Emerson is preceded in death by her parents; step mother, Ethel Beasley; first husband, Perry Mitchell; sons, Perry Glen Mitchell, Kenneth Milburn Mitchell; sister, Virginia Beecham; brother, Coy Johnson. Mrs. Emerson is survived by her husband, William G Emerson; sons, Leemon Edgar Mitchell, Timothy Wayne Mitchell; foster son, Jerry Scott; foster daughters, Jan "Scott" Zagst, Jodie Replogle; daughter in laws Glenda Burns, Niki Green; sister, Selith Kocisko; grandchildren, Amanda, Clarissa, Marian, Angela, Tiffany, Stephanie, Kenneth, Jr., Joey, Josh, and ten great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Emerson will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, form 10 -12 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.
