Funeral services for Mr. Gaylon Ray Thompson, age 84, will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 8, 2018 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Brent McMinn officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery. Mr. Thompson passed away February 5, 2018 in Medina, Tennessee. He was born July 8, 1933 in Clarksburg, Tennessee to the late Henley and Eulene Flake Thompson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nellie Sue Collins Thompson; second wife, Nancy Bray. Surviving relatives include his sons, William V. Thompson (Charolette), Gary R. Thompson (Joyce) and David L. Thompson (Vickie); daughter, April Brooks (Matt); sister, Donna Bell (Lynn); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; special friend and caretaker, Wanda Flatt and her family, Brian Weatherford (Ginger) and Kristie Freeman (Mike). Visitation for Mr. Thompson will be held Wednesday, February 7, 2018 5-8 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.
