Edith Hildred Poole Ray

Graveside services for Mrs. Edith Hildred Poole Ray, age 75, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Parkburg Cemetery with Bro. Allen Brown officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 12-1 pm before the service at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ray passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2024, in Beech Bluff, TN. She was born on November 11, 1948, in Madison County to the late Virgle Harold Diggs, Sr. and Ollie Meg Ragan Diggs. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Ray; brother, Virgil Harold Diggs, Jr.; stepson, Jason Ray.

Mrs. Ray was a graduate of South Side High School and West TN Business College. She retired from the Jackson Police Department in 2005 with 25 years of service.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her sons, Keith Poole (Charlotte), Kevin Foged; stepson, Billy Ray; sister, Debra Perkins (Jack); grandchildren, Johnathan, Michael, Aaron, Megan, Chloe, Adrianna, Lillian; five step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Marshall, and Tate O’Brian.
