Cleo Vivian Partrick Connie Laird

Cleo Vivian "Connie" Partrick Laird October 12, 1922 February 12, 2019 Cleo Laird, 96, passed away Tuesday, February 12. She was born in Anderson, Alabama on October 12, 1922. She was a graduate of Freed-Hardeman College, Abilene Christian College, and the University of Louisville. Much of her life was spent in and around Louisville, Kentucky where she had been an active member of the Okolona Church of Christ and, later, of the Evangel Christian Life Center. She is a retired Jefferson County Public School teacher. She was a dedicated teacher that was beloved by many of her students. Mrs. Laird moved to Jackson, Tennessee in 2010. She went to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Mitchell E. Partrick, and mother, Osee Romine Partrick; ex-husband Clifton E. Laird I; siblings Oscar Nelson Partrick, Lola Mae Partrick McLemore (Frank), Aubrey Partrick (Catherine), Branson Partrick (Lura), Bonnie Partrick Gentry (Eugene), and M.E. Dewey Partrick. She is survived by her two sons, Clifton E. Laird II, and Mitchell P. Laird (Sandra); grandchildren Clifton E. Laird III, Sarah Laird (Mark Bledsoe), Emily Laird, Ian Laird, Michelle Nicole Laird Bishop (Brandon), and Neil Laird; six great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home, 403 East Baltimore, Jackson, TN 38301 with visitation at 2:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Mitchell Cemetery in Anderson, Alabama. A formal graveside service will not be held.
