Clara Elizabeth Dorris

Graveside services for Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Dorris, age 94, will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at 1 PM at New Union Cemetery in Medon, TN with Bro. Ken Bowman officiating. Mrs. Dorris passed away on April 13, 2020, in Jackson, TN. She was born on November 9, 1925, in Bolivar, TN to the late Dewey Edward Stewart and Dee Hammers Stewart. Mrs. Dorris is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell E. Dorris; daughter, Shelia Ann Singleton; sons, Dennis Wayne Dorris, Billy Joe Dorris, Buddy Dorris, and Jewell Dorris. Mrs. Dorris is survived by her son, Rickey Dorris (Gina); daughters, Linda Branch, Sue Bowman (Jimmy); sisters, Frances Austin, Betty Mills; grandchildren, Ronnie Dorris, Donnie Dorris, Jimmy Bowman, Jr., Ken Bowman, Christy Stroud, Justin Dorris, Vickie Bright, Billy Joe Dorris, Jr., and Rickey Dorris, Jr.; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. To limit the spread of COVID-19 so normal life and activities may resume, the governor has ordered that persons in the State of TN shall not participate in social gatherings of ten (10) or more people. We ask all to limit time in the funeral home and to refrain from hugging and shaking hands for the safety of all.
