Carl Michael Dyer passed away suddenly at the age of 69 on Sunday, November 7, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. "Mike" was born on August 16, 1951, to Claude Elbert and Alma Frances Grissom Dyer. He was a life-long resident of Madison County and is preceded in death by his parents and the mother of two of his daughters, Debbie Stout. He graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1969. He became a meat-cutter for Camps grocery right after high school and worked and retired from Procter and Gamble where he was a quality control inspector; also providing training for new P&G lines in Belgium. He attended Mercy Ministries in Jackson and was responsible for assembling food for the food bank. Mike loved political debating, visiting historical homes and watching old tapes of Twilight Zone. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lyons Dyer; three daughters, Kimberly Reeves, Laura Page (Steven) and Brittany Schrupp (Nathan); five grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters, Brenda Kellow (Bedford) of Lebanon, TN, Claudette Adkins of Maryville, TN, Camille Howell of Myrtle Beach, SC; three step children, Angela Reliford (Frank), David Howell, and Michael Hunter. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home in Jackson, TN. Interment will follow at a later date at Hollywood Cemetery.
