Billie Marie Parten

Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Marie McCoy Parten, age 94, will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Bragg officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 am – 1 pm before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family ask for memorials to be made to Poplar Heights Baptist Church or Angela Hospice of Livonia, MI.

Mrs. Parten passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family in Dearborn, MI. She was born on November 23, 1928, in Gibson County to the late Edman Haford McCoy and Clara Elizabeth Horton McCoy. Mrs. Parten was long time resident of Jackson. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Parten was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Parten.

Mrs. Parten is survived by her son, Jim Parten (Amy); grandchildren, Rebecca Parten and Cara Parten.
