Betty Sue Strong Twyman

Funeral services for Mr. Betty Sue Strong Twyman, age 80, will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Casey Cupples officiating. Interment will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 11-1pm prior to her services. 

Mrs. Twyman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 13, 2024. She was born on April 6, 1944, in Madison County, TN to the late Thomas Strong and Jeffie Dee Jones Strong. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Ann Kelley; sister, Imogene Strong; brothers, Eddie, James, Thomas, Clyde and J.B. Strong.

Mrs. Twyman is survived by her husband, Kenneth Twyman, Sr.; son, Kenneth Twyman, Jr. and wife Gena; daughters, Betsy Sue Murchison and husband Billy, Julie Jean Twyman Morris and husband Tony; brother, Ted Strong and wife Jean; sisters, Barbara Ann Strong Landers, Helen Dean Strong Bryant Bourret; son-in-law, David Kelley; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Mrs. Betty Sue was a very loving and devoted homemaker with an amazing heart. She was a talented seamstress and had a green thumb for gardening. Mrs. Betty Sue loved collecting many things such as buttons, bottle caps, etc. She also loved canning, cooking and babysitting for many years.
