Helen Ophelia Horton

Helen Ophelia Horton, age 88, was born on December 16, 1932. She passed away on August 21, 2021, in Jackson, TN. Helen is survived by three daughters, Diane Taylor (Randy), Darlene Grisham (Randy), Beverly Tims (David); ten grandchildren, Cindy, Wayne, Bub, Christina, Chris, Kim, Brandy, Jeremiah, Jonathan, Brittney; 10 great grandchildren, Austyn, Aryana, Madasyn, Cayden, Alayna, Lleyton, Everest, Draygun, Remmick, Ansley; special daughter-in-law, Nancy Horton. Helen worked at Bellevue Apparel, Ashby Veneer Lumber Company, but most of her life she was a housewife. She was a Baptist in belief. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lizzy Gantt; husband, Dennie Roy Horton; son, Jimmy Horton; daughter, Sharon Parrott; great granddaughter, Mia Grace Taylor; sister, Bertha Wray; brothers, James, Deroy, Johnny, and Joe Gantt. Funeral services will be held a 2 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Davenport and Bro. Johnny Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 11 am – 2 pm on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. The family request all who attend the service to please wear a face covering.
