Dorothy Louise Rhodes

Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Louise Rhodes, age 69, will be held at 1 pm Monday, January 2, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Marty Goins officiating. Visitation with the family will be held that morning from 11am-1pm, before the service. Internment will follow at Maple springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Rhodes passed away on December 30, 2022, in Lexington, SC. She was born March 25, 1953, in Bemis, TN to the late Roy C. Byrum and Mary “Dolly” Allen.

Mrs. Rhodes was a member of the Church of God. She dedicated her whole life to the care and service to others, and even retired early to take care of her twin grandsons. She spent her entire adult life traveling and singing with her loving husband and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert Franklin Rhodes, Jr.

Mrs. Rhodes is survived by her daughter, Milisa Rhodes (Jason) of Lexington, SC, daughter, Teresa Goins (Marty) of Sale Creek, TN, son, Robert Rhodes, III (Tammy) of Howard, OH, daughter, Tammy Rhodes of Lexington, SC; nine grandchildren, Chelsea Goodnight, Amber Rhodes-LaPoint, Ashley Jones, Robert Rhodes IV, Zachary Stewart, Jordan Rhodes, Anna Goins, Skylar Rhodes, Peyton Rhodes, and seven great grandchildren.
