Carl Delmas Dotson

Carl Delmas Dotson, age 93, of Jackson, TN passed on February 8, 2024, at MH Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. Mr. Dotson was born on June 3, 1930 in Tennessee City, TN to the late Willie D. and Nellie Dotson. He married Pauline Mae on November 11, 1950, in Jasper, AL. They lived sixty-two years in Holy matrimony. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, Pauline Mae Needham Dotson, and brothers, Glen Dotson and Albert Percy Dotson.

Carl owned Diamond Tile Company. He was a hard working man and provider for his family. His work was as solid as a rock. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, reading the newspaper, and rabbit hunting. He was a member of East Union Baptist Church in Jackson, TN.

Carl is survived by his sons, Randy Dotson (Pat), Tony Dotson (Cindy); daughters, Charolette Thompson (William), Brenda Watlington (Leonard), Vickie Thompson (David); sister, Betty Bolding; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Dotson will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. A visitation with the family will be held from 12pm-1pm before the service.

Pallbearers for the service will be Stone White, Jake White, William Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Adam McDonald, River Chumney and Steven Watlington.
