Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Cautez Aday, age 93, will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Callicoatt officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 am – 1 pm before the service.
Mrs. Aday passed away on January 29, 2024, at Henderson County Community
Hospital in Lexington, TN. She was born on May 16, 1930, in Chester County to the late Obie Lutrell and Pauline Maness Lutrell.
Mrs. Aday was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen Aday; son, Chris Aday; sisters, Alene McCord, Imogene Morris and brother, Carl Lutrell.
Mrs. Aday is survived by her son, David Aday; daughter, Gina Aday Hayes (Randy); grandchildren, Shane Aday (Melissa), Jamie Aday, Trenna McBride (Shane), Tyler Perdue, Emily Adams (Trey); great grandchildren, Aden Hammond, Alli Porter, Tristin List, and a great -great grandson, Kashton Adams.
Bernice was a member of East Trinity United Methodist Church and worked for
over 20 years at Northside Methodist Church Mother's Day Out. She was always
thrilled when she ran into those children after they had become young adults.
She was an excellent seamstress, loved crocheting, quilting & cooking. Her
favorite meal was buttermilk and cornbread and she loved making fried hamburgers for her grandchildren.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and she was surrounded by her family during her last moments on this earth.
Special thanks to the caretakers at Northcliff Assisted Living and especially to the
staff at Henderson County Community Hospital.
